Sales Manager - Chemical Distribution

About the role

Brenntag is looking for a Sales Manager in Singapore who will drive sales growth in the assigned market. The role covers developing new business, managing existing customer accounts, building strong customer relationships, preparing quotations and negotiating commercial terms, while coordinating internally to ensure successful order fulfilment and after-sales support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop business for gold/silver/bronze (high) accounts, including basket and product selling, cross-selling and value-based pricing
• Build relationships with existing customers and develop new ones
• Complete monthly sales forecasts using internal forecasting software
• Execute customer visits, prepare, coordinate and negotiate proposals, close deals and respond to RFQs
• Identify customer potential and monetise it, and identify, prioritise and convert prospect business using Salesforce
• Manage inventories, receivables and customer complaints
• Take part in customer tenders and follow internal approvals until contracts are finalised
• Plan to close budget gaps and meet the yearly budget, and update key market and customer information to the internal team promptly
• Prepare call reports after meetings with customers, suppliers and internal teams

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Science or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in chemical distribution or a related industry
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing large customer accounts
• Ability to work independently and build positive, cooperative relationships with colleagues
