SAP Record-to-Report (RTR) Consultant

About the role

Accenture is looking for an experienced Record to Report (R2R) Consultant with strong SAP implementation expertise to support finance transformation initiatives and ERP-driven business process improvements. The role covers designing, implementing and optimizing SAP Finance solutions while ensuring efficient record-to-report operations, high-quality financial reporting, regulatory compliance and strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support end-to-end record-to-report processes, including general ledger, journal entries, accruals, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Take part in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA implementation, rollout, migration, upgrade and finance transformation projects.
• Run business process workshops, requirements gathering, process mapping and fit-gap analysis.
• Design and optimize R2R processes to improve financial close efficiency, reporting accuracy, standardization and compliance.
• Support configuration validation, SIT/UAT testing, defect resolution, cutover planning and post-go-live stabilization.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial controls, audit requirements and corporate governance policies.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation opportunities and best practices across finance operations and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5 to 15 years of experience in R2R, general ledger, financial close, financial reporting or finance transformation.
• Proven hands-on experience in SAP implementation, rollout, migration or transformation projects with significant involvement in R2R workstreams.
• Knowledge of IFRS and financial compliance requirements.
• Preferred: professional accounting certification (CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent); shared services, global business services or finance consulting experience; exposure to SAP Central Finance, Group Reporting, BPC or similar; Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Agile or similar certifications; regional or global delivery experience.

Required skills

• SAP Finance solutions, including SAP FI and SAP S/4HANA Finance.
• Accounting principles, month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Requirements gathering, business process design, fit-gap analysis, testing, deployment and post-production support.
