School Operations Manager

About the role

We are looking for a proactive School Operations Manager to ensure the smooth, non‑instructional functioning of our campus. You will act as the backbone of daily operations, coordinating facilities, logistics, safety protocols, vendor relationships and budgetary matters to create a safe and efficient learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily non‑instructional routines, including student arrival/dismissal, transportation, meal services and facility scheduling.
• Manage front‑desk staff, administrative support systems and campus management software.
• Coordinate logistics for school events, field trips, testing days and parent‑teacher conferences.
• Serve as primary liaison with custodial, maintenance and facility teams to maintain a clean, functional, and safe campus.
• Develop, implement and audit health, safety and emergency response plans, ensuring compliance with OSHA, public health guidelines and education regulations.
• Track operational budgets, expense reporting and petty‑cash administration.
• Manage vendor contracts for janitorial, catering, security, IT support and transportation, negotiating service agreements and evaluating performance.
• Supervise, train and evaluate non‑instructional staff, fostering a collaborative, service‑oriented culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Educational Leadership, Public Administration, Operations Management or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in school operations, facilities management or a comparable operational role.

Required skills

• Proficiency with campus management and inventory tracking software.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA, fire safety, emergency response).
• Budget management and vendor negotiation capabilities.
