Science Laboratory Assistant (Primary School)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Science Laboratory Assistant to support the primary school science curriculum. The role involves maintaining a safe, well‑organized lab environment and ensuring all resources are ready for daily lessons and activities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory setups and keep the lab clean and organized.
• Prepare, arrange, and clear apparatus, reagents, specimens, and materials for practical experiments and ad‑hoc science activities.
• Track usage and breakages, conduct annual stocktaking, update logs, and process procurement requests for equipment or consumables.
• Enforce school laboratory safety guidelines, manage chemical storage and record‑keeping, and report any hazards immediately.
• Support departmental programs such as E2K, Green Club, and STEM initiatives, and distribute teaching resources.

Required profile

• Minimum GCE O‑Level with a pass in at least one Science subject (Science‑related diplomas or certifications preferred).
• Approximately 3 years of experience as a laboratory assistant in an educational setting.
• Ability to work independently, high responsibility, and strong organisational skills.
