Senior Accountant, Financial Forecast

About the role

The Senior Accountant, Financial Forecast will lead monthly financial reviews, support long‑term business planning and drive forecasting and budgeting activities across the organisation. This role partners closely with multiple departments to provide insightful analysis that guides strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Collate, review and update monthly financial data, analysing actual results against forecasts and budgets, and explaining variances.
• Support the development of long‑term business plans by analysing demand, production costs, operating expenses and other key drivers to produce realistic profit projections.
• Develop, maintain and improve financial forecasting models for various business units and coordinate the annual budgeting process.
• Prepare monthly management reports, variance analyses, dashboards and other financial reports, presenting key results and recommendations to senior management.
• Identify and implement process improvements in reporting, forecasting, budgeting and consolidation, including automation and system optimisation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather information, understand business requirements and provide financial analysis and guidance.
• Monitor relevant government policies, funding schemes and grants, coordinate grant applications and prepare required financial and forecast information.
• Undertake ad‑hoc finance projects and duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, or a recognised professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting, finance, FP&A or a related role; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong financial accounting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting and project‑management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Independent, proactive, detail‑oriented with a positive attitude and strong sense of ownership.
