Senior Accounts Assistant – Accounts Receivable

About the role

The Senior Accounts Assistant – Accounts Receivable will support the finance team of Healthway Medical Group by managing incoming payments, reconciling insurance claims and ensuring the timely posting of receipts. This role operates in a high‑volume environment and requires accurate, deadline‑driven processing.

Key responsibilities

• Track all cheques received and prepare bank deposits.
• Print and process payment advices from insurance portals, CHAS and Medisave.
• Match insurance claim advices to bank statements and invoices, and post to the Accounts Receivable ledger.
• Liaise with customers to obtain payment details and resolve discrepancies.
• Match cheques/Giro payments to invoices and post weekly to corporate customer ledgers.
• Execute timely monthly closing of the Accounts Receivable system.
• Record and post journal entries in line with company policies and accounting standards.
• Prepare schedules and documentation to support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Higher Nitec/Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an Accounts Receivable function.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑transaction environment.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude, self‑motivation and reliable work ethic.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of ERP accounting systems such as Microsoft Navision, SAP or Oracle.
