Senior AI Architect - Health AI Squad

About the role

Manulife Asia is looking for a Senior AI Architect to join its Health AI Squad, based in Singapore / Hong Kong. You will lead the design and integration of scalable Health AI solutions across Asia, turning health business priorities into enterprise-ready platform capabilities. You will define solution architecture patterns, integrate Generative AI services with health data, workflows and core health platforms, and ensure solutions are secure, reusable, measurable and aligned with Manulife's technology standards.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Data Scientists, ML Engineers and AI Developers to architect, build and support scalable Health AI services across Asia.
• Work with Data Engineers and IT SMEs to understand health data sources and define patterns that prepare, govern and optimise data for Generative AI solutions.
• Design and guide implementation of AI patterns such as RAG, agentic workflows and multi-agent approaches.
• Integrate Health AI capabilities with enterprise platforms in line with Manulife's Generative AI architecture standards.
• Establish reusable architecture patterns, standards, processes and tools for consistent delivery across markets.
• Influence stakeholders, shape implementation roadmaps and drive adoption of Health AI capabilities.
• Apply methods to leverage structured and unstructured health data through enterprise AI services, including Azure OpenAI.
• Keep up with AI/ML and Generative AI trends and turn them into architecture guidance.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or another quantitative field, with significant experience in AI solution architecture and enterprise-scale delivery.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience architecting, developing and scaling Generative AI solutions.
• Experience delivering Generative AI solutions into production, including architecture governance, risk controls and performance monitoring.
• Previous experience in insurance, health or related regulated industries is highly desirable.
• Ability to mentor technical teams and collaborate with business, data, engineering, IT, security and governance teams.

Required skills

• Understanding of AI, data pipeline and ML production architectures, especially with Azure services.
• Programming in Python, R and SQL, and GenAI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, ADK and CrewAI.
• Cloud, data and AI platforms such as Azure, Azure OpenAI, Databricks and Spark.
• Agile solution delivery principles.
