Senior AI Cloud Network Operations Engineer

About the role

Bitdeer is seeking a Senior AI Cloud Network Operations Engineer to monitor and maintain its high‑performance AI network infrastructure. You will work 24×7 on switches, routers and optical transport, ensuring optimal performance for AI training workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the full network estate in real time, tracking device health, link bandwidth and traffic load.
• Detect AI‑specific network signals that indicate emerging problems.
• Own incident response for outages, link failures and device‑down events, meeting SLA targets.
• Collaborate with architecture and delivery teams to resolve microsecond‑level jitter, NCCL throughput degradation and other AI‑network performance issues.
• Manage the ticket lifecycle for routine requests, from creation through escalation to resolution.
• Produce regular network health reports and post‑incident reviews, contributing to the team knowledge base.
• Serve as the technical interface for internal R&D teams and key customers, handling real‑time network change requests.
• Execute changes under a rigorous change‑management process, minimizing impact on AI training jobs.

Required profile

• 5+ years of network operations experience in large‑scale internet, cloud, carrier NOC or datacenter environments.
• Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics or a related field.

Required skills

• Hands‑on knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN and ECMP.
• CLI proficiency on enterprise‑grade switches/routers (NVIDIA Spectrum/Quantum, Arista, Cisco).
• Working knowledge of InfiniBand or RoCEv2 and lossless congestion control (PFC, ECN).
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, Cacti and MTR.
