Senior AI Platform Engineer

About the role

Bitdeer is seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to own and operate its Kubernetes‑based AI‑as‑a‑Service (MaaS) production environment. You will ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of CPU and GPU platforms that power Bitcoin mining, high‑performance computing, and AI workloads worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and harden Kubernetes clusters across CPU nodes, edge ingress, and regional GPU tiers.
• Define and own SLOs, alerting, dashboards, runbooks, and incident response for API availability, latency, error rates, capacity, and GPU health.
• Improve rollout safety using canaries, fallback mechanisms, health‑aware routing, maintenance mode, and fast rollback.
• Drive capacity planning for GPU utilization, burst traffic, quota/rate limits, cross‑region latency, and customer growth.
• Automate repetitive operations with Helm, Argo CD, custom operators, scripts, and self‑healing workflows.
• Partner with runtime and performance engineers to debug incidents from public API edge to model workers.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering for production cloud services.
• Deep expertise with Kubernetes, including Helm, Argo CD/GitOps, CNI/ingress, secrets, storage, and workload scheduling.
• Hands‑on experience operating GPU, AI, or HPC workloads (strongly preferred).
• Strong observability skills using Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics, OpenTelemetry, logs, traces, and incident diagnosis.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Bash, Linux networking, and production automation.
• Proven ability to design reliable systems with clear SLOs, operational ownership, and post‑incident follow‑through.
