Senior AI/ML Engineer - Intelligent TPT Systems Development

About the role

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is hiring a Senior AI/ML Engineer to join a team driving the adoption of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies. You will build prototypes and minimum viable products that improve the traffic and transport experience for Singapore commuters.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy and maintain applied AI solutions across Computer Vision, Generative AI and Agentic AI.
• Develop and optimise machine learning algorithms tailored to different use cases.
• Design and implement robust data pipelines supporting AI applications at scale.
• Work with data scientists, software developers, domain experts and business stakeholders to deliver projects.
• Engage users iteratively to refine features and meet operational needs.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, establish best practices and share knowledge across the team.

Required profile

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in AI/ML, data science or cloud application development, with a focus on model and data quality and automated AI processes.
• Experience in natural language processing, large language models, conversational AI, computer vision and agentic AI.
• Self-motivated, independent and intellectually curious; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative team player effective in cross-functional settings.

Required skills

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices, Agile and version control (Git).
• Large-scale data pipeline management strongly preferred.
• Cloud solution architecture and deployment of cloud-hosted solutions advantageous.
