Senior Analyst, Business Development

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Analyst to lead and manage the end‑to‑end relationship with key retail and commerce merchants in Singapore. In this position you will act as the primary account manager, driving commercial growth and delivering payment strategies that create value for both Mastercard and its customers.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned merchant customers, owning relationship and commercial outcomes.
• Engage clients through regular face‑to‑face meetings to align on business priorities, sales and marketing strategies, and growth opportunities.
• Lead business reviews, track performance metrics and assess return on investment for key initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across Singapore and regional markets to design and execute payment programmes.
• Identify and pursue segment penetration and revenue growth opportunities, delivering commercially viable solutions.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable long‑term partnership success.
• Conduct client negotiations, balancing customer needs with Mastercard objectives.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated, commercially minded and results‑oriented.
• Proven experience in the retail or commerce sector, preferably in business development, sales or marketing.
• Strong relationship‑management and influencing abilities across multiple levels and markets.
• High emotional intelligence, situational awareness and confidence in client‑facing environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced setting.
