Senior Architecture Engineer

About the role

The Senior Architecture Engineer will lead the architectural design of topside facilities on FPSO and FLNG projects. Working within Hanwha Ocean EPU’s Energy Plant Unit, the role focuses on creating safe, functional and code‑compliant structures such as E‑Houses, laboratories, workshops and warehouses for offshore oil‑and‑gas installations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate architectural designs for offshore topside buildings, ensuring integration with process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC and safety systems.
• Perform technical assurance, vendor and fabrication reviews, and verify compliance with offshore regulations and project specifications.
• Support the Head of Discipline in maintaining corporate architectural standards, design guidelines and lessons‑learned databases.
• Conduct conceptual and feasibility studies during the pre‑award phase, providing layout, material and cost estimates for bid proposals.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide day‑to‑day technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in offshore oil‑and‑gas projects, specifically FPSO topsides architectural engineering.
• Strong knowledge of building layout optimisation, human factors, environmental and safety requirements, and passive fire protection principles.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical information clearly.
