Senior Assistant Manager – Space Management

About the role

The College of Engineering at NTU Singapore seeks a Senior Assistant Manager to lead space management across its five engineering schools. This role is pivotal in optimizing office and laboratory spaces, supporting strategic growth, and ensuring efficient utilisation of campus facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory of academic offices, research labs, and shared facilities.
• Collaborate with schools and central units to assess space needs and allocate space aligned with hiring and research priorities.
• Oversee renovation and reconfiguration projects in partnership with the Office of Development & Facilities Management.
• Conduct regular audits of space utilisation and ensure compliance with university standards.
• Manage space data using AutoCAD and IWMS/CAFM platforms such as Planon or Archibus.
• Analyse occupancy trends, forecast future space requirements, and produce reports and dashboards for decision‑making.
• Support development of college‑level space policies and facilitate change‑management processes for relocations and refurbishments.
• Coordinate CAD file management and ensure data accuracy across inventory systems.

Required profile

• A recognised university degree, preferably in real estate, facilities management, planning or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in space planning, facilities data management or workspace operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with space/facilities management systems such as Planon, Archibus or other IWMS/CAFM tools.
• Strong data‑analysis capabilities for occupancy and utilisation reporting.
