Senior Associate – Financial Crime

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Financial Crime team. You will work with a diverse group of consultants to help clients mitigate financial crime risks and comply with complex regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the management of multiple client engagements, reporting to managers and senior leaders.
• Train and lead junior staff, fostering technical development.
• Build and maintain effective relationships directly with clients.
• Contribute to the development of personal and team technical expertise.
• Participate in business development by identifying and researching opportunities with new or existing clients.
• Promote PwC’s brand and internal relationships.
• Manage day‑to‑day project deliverables following PwC’s Global Best AML methodology.
• Conduct testing and reviews of financial crime and third‑party risk management processes, people, and systems.
• Investigate, evaluate, report, and monitor suspicious transactions.
• Identify financial crime, third‑party, and other risk implications across clients, products, and emerging areas.
• Provide recommendations to ensure regulatory and reporting compliance.
• Stay current on local, national, and regulatory developments.
• Work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Required profile

• College degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience or extensive knowledge in compliance and/or risk prevention within the financial services industry.
• Proven ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion and a focus on client privacy.
• Strong understanding of AML, sanctions, fraud, third‑party regulations and KYC requirements.
