Senior Associate, Nexus Debt Services

About the role

MUFG Investor Services is hiring a Senior Associate for its Nexus Debt Services team in Singapore. The Senior Associate is a key reviewer and processor who takes part in the day-to-day service and maintenance of client portfolios. The role is the first escalation point for Associates or clients facing operational issues, and it requires strong commercial acumen and communication skills.

Key responsibilities

• Daily portfolio maintenance by processing lifecycle events and restructurings
• Review and set up new securities, loans or deals, including relevant attributes
• Provide reporting to internal and external stakeholders, and support the Client Delivery team during the NAV cycle
• Substantiate positions for each portfolio
• Support daily operations so that SLAs are met efficiently
• Act as a reviewer and control on operations matters, including reviewing credit agreements and new deal setups, and handling escalations from Associates and clients
• Conduct second reviews on setups and credit agreements for the operations team
• Ensure procedures are followed and controls are maintained in line with company policy, and deliver timely, accurate service to improve the client experience
• Support colleagues as a source of information and provide training where needed, and take part in projects that enhance the service offering

Required profile

• University or college degree in business, with a concentration in Accounting or Finance
• At least 3 years of experience in loan administration, fund administration, accounting or related financial services in private credit/loans
• Fund accounting experience is an asset but not required
• Strong attention to detail, time management, commercial acumen and communication skills
