Senior Associate/AVP, Relationship Manager - Financial Institutions Group

About the role

DBS is looking for a Senior Associate/AVP Relationship Manager within its Financial Institutions Group (FIG) to manage and grow a portfolio of insurance clients. The role focuses on deepening client relationships, delivering holistic banking solutions and driving sustainable revenue growth across the Bank's franchise.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of assigned insurance clients, defend and deepen existing relationships and achieve financial and business growth targets while optimising client wallet share.
• Own client credit relationships and act as the primary internal and external point of contact for assigned clients.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans, cross-sell and originate opportunities across Global Transaction Services (Cash & Trade), Securities Services, Global Financial Markets and Financing Solutions, and acquire new-to-bank insurance clients.
• Address client enquiries promptly, coordinate across business and support units for smooth account operations and solutioning, and use industry and market knowledge to identify new business opportunities.
• Assess financing opportunities, support the structuring of financing transactions and apply sound credit judgement and risk awareness.

Required profile

• Degree holder in Banking, Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
• Relevant financial institutions or corporate banking coverage experience; experience covering insurance companies and insurance asset managers preferred.
• At least 8 years of working experience preferred.

Required skills

• Strong relationship management, business development and origination capabilities.
• Good understanding of banking products such as cash management, trade finance, derivatives, capital markets, treasury solutions and financing products.
• Understanding of Financial Institution balance sheets and credit fundamentals.
• Excellent written and presentation communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
