Senior Audit Analyst – APAC & EME

About the role

The Senior Audit Analyst will lead risk‑based internal audit engagements across operational, finance and compliance areas, supporting Vale’s strategic objectives. The role requires close interaction with multicultural teams and senior management, with frequent travel across APAC and EME regions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report end‑to‑end audit assignments, applying IIA standards and Vale’s Internal Audit Charter.
• Assess control adequacy through risk assessments, process walkthroughs, data analysis and detailed testing, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency.
• Prepare clear audit workpapers and reports with observations, root‑cause analysis, impact assessment and actionable recommendations.
• Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders, follow up on audit action plans and ensure timely resolution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes and support internal work groups on regulatory interpretation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; professional certifications (CA/CPA, CIA, CFE, CISA) preferred.
• 4–7 years of experience in internal or external audit, with strong knowledge of risk, fraud and technology‑driven audit techniques.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin, able to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
