Senior BI Analyst

About the role

Hytech, a management consulting firm based in Australia and Singapore that supports fintech and financial services companies with digital transformation, is looking for a Senior BI Analyst to join its global business intelligence and strategy team. The role turns complex datasets into clear, actionable business strategies, detects business abnormalities, performs deep-dive root cause analysis and delivers high-level summaries for internal leaders and global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze customer behavior, business performance and operational metrics to spot growth opportunities and risks.
• Identify data abnormalities such as performance dips and operational shifts, then carry out root cause analysis.
• Build and optimize automated data pipelines and dashboards using SQL and Python for real-time reporting.
• Turn technical findings into concise executive summaries and natural-language insights for non-technical leaders.
• Bridge data engineering and business units so analytical solutions match real business needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or Finance.
• At least 5 years of data analysis experience focused on spotting business trends and solving real-world problems.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin.
• Direct experience in fintech (crypto, trading or banking) is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Expert SQL for querying large databases and optimizing performance.
• Proficient Python, including Pandas and NumPy for data manipulation and automated analysis.
• Ability to tell a compelling data story and communicate clearly with business leaders.
