Senior Business Development Executive (Sustainability)

About the role

The Senior Business Development Executive (Sustainability) will drive growth of Bureau Veritas' sustainability services across the region. Working closely with clients, ecosystem partners and internal teams, you will translate market trends, regulatory requirements and client needs into tailored sustainability offerings. The role supports go‑to‑market initiatives, proposal development and pipeline management for the Regional Institute of Sustainability and Energy Transition (RISE).

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of leads across ESG assurance, GHG verification, carbon management, sustainable finance and related services.
• Identify new clients through networking, referrals, industry events and market research.
• Develop and present proposals, tender responses and commercial documents, coordinating with technical, legal and finance teams.
• Negotiate, renew and secure contracts, ensuring timely follow‑up and conversion.
• Collaborate with BV business lines to promote cross‑selling of sustainability solutions.
• Maintain accurate CRM records for reporting, forecasting and performance monitoring.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, sales, account management or sustainability consulting.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks and reporting standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD, IFRS, GHG Protocol, Ecovadis, LCA).
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Organisational and coordination abilities to manage multiple opportunities and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
