Senior Business Development Manager – Utilities & Telecom (APAC)

About the role

Esri is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to lead growth in the Utilities and Telecom sectors across the APAC region. You will work closely with Esri’s distributor network to expand adoption of GIS technology, identify new market opportunities, and help customers achieve their strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Drive opportunities by articulating business value to customers and distributors, creating new lines of business and market segments.
• Think strategically, presenting and negotiating with executives, providing input on regional growth plans, and showcasing GIS value propositions.
• Partner with customers and distributors to build long‑term relationships, facilitate impactful meetings, and mentor team members.
• Lead executive review sessions with distributors to finalize enterprise agreements and out‑compete rivals through deep industry knowledge.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience supporting technical specifications and delivering enterprise software solutions.
• Proven track record selling enterprise software directly and through channel partners.
• Expertise in negotiation and strategic engagements with senior stakeholders.
• Advanced storytelling and presentation skills at conferences and executive‑level meetings.
• Ability to quickly learn new technology and translate it into customer solutions.
• Fluent in English; additional languages as needed.
• Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and the utilities & telecom industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
• Willingness to travel globally 25‑50% of the time.
