Senior Claim Executive, WICA Regulatory Claims

About the role

AIG is hiring a Senior Claim Executive for its WICA regulatory claims function. The role handles WICA claims adjudication, reserving and settlement within a given authority level, interprets WICA policy wording for SME and commercial portfolios and drives claims resolution within the required turnaround time, in line with AIG's internal claims SOPs and MOM mandates.

Key responsibilities

• Manage key claims enquiries, determine legislative coverage, assess permanent incapacity and death awards, and issue compensation awards
• Communicate developments and outcomes to all concerned parties and provide a high standard of customer service
• Ensure fair and impartial adjudication of regulatory coverage while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to quality assurance review processes and to best-practice procedures for intermediate to high-value complex claims
• Maintain accurate reserves and other financial transactions, and interpret policies consistently
• Follow up on recommendations from technical claims audits and improve claim handling continuously

Required profile

• Minimum diploma qualification and basic insurance certifications such as BCP and Comm GI
• 1-3 years of WICA claim experience preferred
• Administrative experience preferred
• Sound knowledge of WICA technical claims topics and ability to interpret policy language accurately
• Basic knowledge of legal, regulatory and litigation requirements for the line of business
• Experience following up on technical claims audit recommendations and improving claim handling
