Senior Construction Manager – Data Center Facilities Development

About the role

The Senior Construction Manager provides on‑site leadership for mission‑critical data‑center projects in Singapore, collaborating with project management, design, procurement, commissioning, operations, colocation providers and contractors. The role oversees construction delivery across base‑building, civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, controls, security and life‑safety systems while ensuring safety, quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site‑based delivery of AI data‑center infrastructure, including base building, MEP, white‑space readiness and containment.
• Direct colocation provider execution to meet OCI standards for schedule, quality and coordination.
• Drive short‑interval planning, look‑aheads and recovery actions to protect critical dates and readiness gates.
• Independently assess delivery plans, identify risks early and communicate business impacts.
• Coordinate interfaces for tenant fit‑out and network readiness, ensuring space, power, cooling and cable routes are delivered.
• Own QA/QC execution, including ITPs, inspections, NCRs, corrective actions, punch lists and progressive turnover.
• Ensure construction aligns with approved design intent and manage disciplined change control.
• Lead safety performance, compliance with local regulations and OCI requirements, and drive audits and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Deep data‑center construction knowledge across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, controls and plumbing.
• Lifecycle delivery experience from mobilization through construction, commissioning readiness and handover.
• Proven high‑accountability leadership, mentoring teams and holding vendors accountable under pressure.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills for fast‑paced, high‑dependency environments.
• Commercial awareness of contract administration, variations, claims and progress validation.
• Familiarity with reporting and document platforms such as Aconex, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud or SharePoint.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of data‑center or colocation construction experience with a GC, colocation provider or hyperscaler.
