Senior Construction Manager

About the role

This senior position oversees all mechanical works on construction sites, ensuring projects are delivered on time, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate manpower, equipment installation, and testing while supporting pre‑commissioning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all mechanical works, including equipment installation, alignment, and testing.
• Ensure work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Monitor daily progress, manpower allocation, and equipment utilization to meet project timelines.
• Conduct site inspections and verify compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with engineers and other disciplines to resolve technical issues and implement design changes.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, punch lists, and assist in material tracking.
• Ensure proper handling and installation of mechanical equipment, piping, and related components.
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Support pre‑commissioning and testing activities as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Director.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Approximately 10 years of experience on Data Centre or Telecom projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment installation.
• Understanding of modular construction is an advantage.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASME, API, and ISO.
• Proven experience in site coordination and working with multicultural teams.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and site‑compliance requirements.
