Senior Control Manager – Technology Risk (1‑yr Contract)

About the role

The Senior Control Manager will shape risk strategy and drive control excellence for a leading financial services organisation in Singapore. Reporting to senior leadership, the role focuses on technology risk, regulatory compliance and governance across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead assessment and monitoring of technology‑related risks across applications, infrastructure, cloud services and third‑party providers.
• Review control effectiveness, design remediation plans and track closure of identified gaps.
• Develop risk insights through metrics, dashboards and key risk indicators.
• Embed risk and security considerations into technology initiatives and change programmes from the outset.
• Ensure compliance with technology and cybersecurity regulations; act as liaison during regulatory reviews, audits and inspections.
• Drive development and maintenance of technology risk policies, standards and procedures.
• Provide oversight during technology incidents, support business continuity and disaster recovery activities.
• Oversee risk assessments of strategic vendors and strengthen third‑party risk management.
• Advise senior management on risk, controls and governance; deliver clear risk reporting to leadership committees.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in technology controls within the financial services sector.
• Proven ability to assess and manage technology risks effectively.
• Experience developing and implementing control frameworks.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related discipline.
• Significant experience in Technology Risk, IT Audit, Information Security, Operational Risk or Technology Compliance.
