Senior Corporate Counsel

About the role

As a Senior Corporate Counsel you will provide legal support for a business division or a significant legal practice area within Caterpillar Asia. You will act as a trusted advisor to management, helping to navigate complex legal issues and align legal strategies with the company’s business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Advise management and deliver clear recommendations on legal matters and related risks.
• Provide legal support for a business division or major practice area through supervision of a team, coordination of a network of legal professionals, or serving as a subject‑matter expert.
• Research complex legal issues and draft legal documents that align with corporate strategies and objectives.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of risk‑management processes, tools and techniques, and ability to apply them across diverse situations.
• Proven decision‑making and critical‑thinking skills, with the ability to analyze data, evaluate alternatives and advise others.
• Excellent communication abilities, including drafting, presenting and adapting messages for different audiences.
• Experience managing multiple priorities, shifting focus as needed and re‑prioritising work to meet changing demands.
• Solid problem‑solving expertise, capable of leading resolution efforts and capturing lessons learned.
