Senior Cyber Defence Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Cyber Defence Analyst to join the Information Security team at A&O Shearman in Singapore. The role involves analysing and responding to cyber security events within the firm’s time‑zone and contributing to the overall security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate Level 2 escalated alerts from the Managed Security Service Provider and determine potential incidents.
• Conduct initial triage, containment, mitigation and remediation of confirmed incidents, including forensic evidence collection.
• Maintain and improve playbooks, detection rules and process documentation to reflect the current threat landscape.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and out‑of‑hours response as part of a 24‑7 follow‑the‑sun model.
• Mentor junior colleagues and collaborate with IT, GRC and Threat & Vulnerability Management teams.

Required profile

• At least three years of experience in security operations or a related technical security role.
• Operational experience in multiple domains such as incident response, alert triaging, rule writing, DFIR or threat intelligence.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP) and core services.
• Excellent communication skills and high personal integrity.
