Senior Data Engineer – Full Time

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms that support business intelligence, machine learning, and digital transformation initiatives across Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• Build and optimise scalable pipelines for batch, near‑real‑time and real‑time processing.
• Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses and integration solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality datasets.
• Monitor pipelines to ensure reliability, availability and performance against SLAs.
• Perform data validation, cleansing and quality assurance.
• Implement data governance, security and compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot pipeline issues and continuously improve performance.
• Support solution implementation, testing, deployment and post‑implementation maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica or Talend.
• SQL and Python programming.
• Data modelling, metadata management and data warehousing concepts.
• Big data technologies (Apache Spark, Hadoop, Hive) – advantageous.
• Experience with data sources including PostgreSQL, SAP, flat files and APIs.
• Familiarity with Power BI, SharePoint, Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, microservices and DevSecOps practices – a plus.
