Senior Development Partner, Customer Innovation (Contract)

About the role

The Business Grants Portal (BGP) Management Team sits within the Customer Innovation Division and oversees the BGP product roadmap and the onboarding of whole-of-government grants onto the platform. As a (Senior) Development Partner, you will support agencies' onboarding and enhancement of BGP, working closely with government grant agencies, business users and technical teams to turn operational needs into system solutions and improve the user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Business analysis and requirements management: engage business users and grant agencies to understand their grant administration processes and needs; analyse requirements into functional specifications, user stories, process flows and acceptance criteria; evaluate solution options and work with product and technical teams on system enhancements.
• Platform development and enhancement: implement enhancements to grant application forms, workflows, approval processes and system functionalities; coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), including test scenarios, defect tracking and resolution of implementation issues; analyse user feedback and operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
• System migration and implementation: support migration projects including requirements gathering, data mapping, validation, testing and implementation; identify data quality issues and coordinate data reconciliation; work with stakeholders on cutover planning, implementation and post-migration issue resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in business analysis, systems analysis, product implementation, project management or related roles.
• Experience gathering and translating business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, process flows and acceptance criteria.
• Experience implementing, configuring or enhancing digital platforms, including workflows and business processes.
• Familiarity with data mapping, data validation, reconciliation or system migration is advantageous; experience in grant administration, government systems or digital service platforms is also advantageous.

Required skills

• Knowledge of system development lifecycles, business process mapping, system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Ability to collaborate across teams and drive outcomes, aligned with the organisation's CoRE values.
