Senior Education Crew – Oceanarium Tours

About the role

The Senior Education Crew member delivers engaging educational tours, public programmes and learning journeys about marine animals and their habitats at the Singapore Oceanarium. This role involves interacting with diverse guest groups, including Mandarin‑speaking visitors, and fostering a deeper appreciation for marine conservation.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate educational tours, public programmes and learning journeys, providing in‑depth information about oceanarium animals and habitats.
• Conduct overnight camps that combine fun activities with marine education, with the ability to deliver content in Mandarin when required.
• Engage guests on sustainability and conservation topics, highlighting the importance of environmental stewardship.
• Contribute ideas for new learning journeys and educational experiences.
• Assist with packing and logistical preparation for tours and programmes to ensure smooth execution.
• Maintain high standards of guest service, safety protocols and overall service quality.

Required profile

• GCE O/A Levels and a Diploma in any discipline.
• Passion for serving guests and a strong interest in marine animals and the environment.
• Good communication and customer service abilities.
• Experience working with children or students (guiding, tutoring, teaching) is advantageous.
• Fluency in Mandarin is a plus for programmes targeting Mandarin‑speaking guests.
• Knowledge of marine biology or marine animals is beneficial.
• Confidence speaking to large groups about marine topics.
• Friendly, approachable demeanor and willingness to learn.
• Availability to work weekdays and weekends.
