Senior Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical)

About the role

The Senior Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical) supports the operation, maintenance and lifecycle management of mechanical and electrical systems across CAAS facilities. The role helps ensure the reliability, safety and availability of mission-critical and aviation-related infrastructure, while supporting improvement, upgrading and replacement works.

Key responsibilities

• Support the operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, including ACMV, fire protection, electrical distribution and essential power, and contribute to developing and reviewing maintenance requirements.
• Take part in the development and handover of new or upgraded facilities and systems, including commissioning and the review of design requirements.
• Assist in planning, coordinating and implementing improvement, upgrading and lifecycle replacement projects.
• Ensure maintenance activities and project works comply with statutory requirements, codes of practice and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, service providers and internal stakeholders, and support inspections, reviews and reporting.

Required profile

• Training in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with preferably at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in the design involvement, operation, maintenance and/or project delivery of mechanical and electrical systems in building or infrastructure environments, including design reviews and coordination with consultants.
• Experience with ACMV, fire protection, plumbing, low-voltage electrical distribution, essential power and UPS systems.
• Good understanding of building services systems across design, installation, commissioning and operation.
• Ability to support design reviews, commissioning, handover and take-over activities.
• Self-motivated, methodical, safety-conscious, with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM)
• Working knowledge of contractor coordination and site supervision
