Senior Engineer, TD Wet Process Development

About the role

Micron is hiring a Senior Engineer for its TD Wet Process Development team in Singapore. The engineer develops and optimizes unit processes for advanced NAND part types, improves yield and quality, and works with manufacturing, suppliers and cross-functional teams on process breakthroughs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimize unit processes to meet yield and quality requirements of advanced NAND part types
• Quantify benefits of innovative process and equipment solutions to enable early experimentation and adoption
• Prioritize key technology issues for the Singapore-based manufacturing Wet Etch team
• Integrate and troubleshoot processes in cross-functional teams driving yield and quality improvement
• Take part in technology choices for upcoming nodes and turn device needs into clear process requirements
• Identify disruptive processes early and work with manufacturing on viable paths forward
• Run fundamental research, hardware evaluations and tests of novel applications, generate IP, and widen process margins
• Initiate experiments on manufacturability of next-node solutions and simplify processes
• Incorporate best-known manufacturing methods into early development of upcoming nodes
• Design and implement advanced process monitoring and control methodologies
• Serve as a technical expert on technical projects and lead teams, sites or suppliers on complex, multi-disciplinary projects
• Advise management on major technical issues, lead innovation projects through patents and technical papers, and collaborate with local and global partners

Required profile

• Masters in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Material Science with 3-5 years of relevant industry experience, or a PhD in a related field
• Prior wet processing and/or chemistry experience in academia or the semiconductor industry
• Experience generating presentations and reports
• Good background in organic and inorganic chemistry and knowledge of integrated circuit processing and semiconductor devices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, independent work and teamwork abilities
