Senior Engineering Manager – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

This position supports the engineering team in delivering large‑scale infrastructure projects for Singapore’s environmental agency. You will work closely with consultants, contractors and stakeholders to ensure projects meet design, quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee construction, installation and commissioning of major infrastructure works.
• Coordinate with project consultants, contractors and key stakeholders to ensure compliance with designs, specifications and safety regulations.
• Participate in equipment testing, commissioning and performance verification for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation systems.
• Attend factory acceptance tests (FATs) locally and overseas to verify equipment quality and reliability.
• Provide technical support for operation and maintenance of complex industrial facilities.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance programmes, equipment inspections and improvement initiatives.
• Manage contract administration and service provider performance for engineering and maintenance works.
• Ensure adherence to workplace safety, permit‑to‑work procedures and safe work practices.
• Support development of operational procedures, safety guidelines and testing plans.
• Perform shift duties as required and undertake other engineering tasks.

Required profile

• Diploma or Nitec in any Engineering discipline.
• For Diploma holders: preferably 3 years relevant experience (fresh graduates considered).
• For Nitec holders: preferably 6‑8 years relevant experience.
• Professional certifications such as Licensed Electrical Worker, Boiler Attendant Certificate or Workplace Safety Health Officer are preferred.
