Senior Executive / Assistant Manager – Perioperative Support & Patient Operations

About the role

Join the Perioperative Services team at the upcoming Eastern General Hospital planning office. You will support the design and implementation of surgical and procedural scheduling systems to maximise resource utilisation and optimise patient care pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Develop workflows, standard operating procedures and communication protocols for peri‑operative services.
• Support digital‑first initiatives for scheduling and patient communications.
• Provide secretariat support for meetings and coordinate cross‑functional projects.
• Assist with Operational Readiness, Activation and Transition (ORAT) activities.
• Create work instructions, resource and manpower plans.
• Train new frontline staff and progressively lead and develop the team.
• Promote a patient‑centric culture across the department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Healthcare or staff‑management experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with design thinking, change management, project management, technology adoption and process methodologies is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Team‑player, highly motivated, action‑oriented with strong planning, analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to change and manage pressure in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
