Senior Executive, People Services

About the role

The Senior Executive, People Services acts as the subject‑matter expert for leave, benefits and awards administration, delivering accurate and compliant HR services to employees. You will manage end‑to‑end processes while ensuring a high‑quality, employee‑centric experience.

Key responsibilities

• Administer end‑to‑end employee leave and benefits processes, ensuring compliance with university policies and statutory regulations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee queries on leave, benefits and awards, meeting agreed Service Level Agreements.
• Process leave transactions and support benefits administration in partnership with payroll and HR systems teams to ensure data accuracy and timeliness.
• Administer institutional awards such as Long Service, Extra Mile and National Day Awards, handling nominations, eligibility checks and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for leave, benefits and awards, ensuring audit readiness and proper governance.
• Analyse leave and benefits data to identify trends, issues and opportunities for process improvement.
• Support system enhancements and digitalisation initiatives, including Workday optimisation and automation of transactions.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in HR operations, preferably in leave, benefits or HR shared services.
• Familiarity with employment legislation and HR policies related to leave and benefits administration.
• Strong attention to detail with good problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer‑centric mindset.
