Senior Facility Management Engineer (Data Center)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Facility Management Engineer to join our data centre operations team in Singapore. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of critical mechanical and electrical systems that keep our data centre running 24/7.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Operation Lead in daily DC operations and preventive maintenance to achieve 100% uptime of critical M&E systems.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs, record faults, and manage incident escalation according to established plans.
• Monitor and respond to EPMS, BMS, and fire system alarms, and ensure the Facility Operations Centre is continuously staffed.
• Oversee subcontractor induction, method statements, risk assessments, and compliance with health & safety standards.
• Maintain logs of instrument readings, equipment inventories, and report security breaches.
• Provide shift handovers, incident reporting, and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental policies.

Required profile

• ITE/Nitec/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management or related field.
• 3‑5+ years of experience in data centre or other critical environments (hospital, pharma, power plant preferred).
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge for data centre M&E systems.
• Experience with feeders, transformers, generators, fuel systems, switchgear, UPS, battery banks, ATS/STS, PDU/PMM.
• Knowledge of chillers, air handling units, chilled water plants, CRAC units, fire alarm and suppression systems.
• PLC programming, relay logic, and Building Management System (BMS) integration.
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio) and working knowledge of SharePoint.
