Senior Interior Designer / Workplace Strategist

About the role

HAUTE DESIGN is seeking a visionary Senior Interior Designer / Workplace Strategist to lead the creation of high‑performance corporate workplaces, R&D laboratories and cleanroom environments. You will blend human‑centred strategy with technical execution, guiding clients toward more efficient, collaborative ways of working.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews and surveys to capture business goals, culture and operational needs.
• Conduct utilization studies, space budgeting, occupancy analysis and test‑fit planning to produce comprehensive workplace strategy briefs.
• Design laboratories and controlled environments, addressing pressure regimes, gowning areas, equipment layout, chemical storage, workflow, safety and contamination control.
• Translate strategic and technical briefs into zoning plans, schematic layouts, mood boards, material palettes, FF&E concepts and brand‑aligned design solutions.
• Prepare 3D visualisations, walkthroughs and real‑time renderings using Enscape and related tools.
• Produce detailed construction drawing packages, including joinery, ceiling plans, lighting layouts, finish schedules and furniture plans.
• Coordinate with MEP, HVAC, acoustic, structural, architectural and specialist contractors to ensure design feasibility.
• Conduct site visits, review shop drawings, resolve issues and ensure final works match approved designs.
• Mentor junior designers, uphold drafting standards and support timely delivery across multiple workstreams.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant interior design experience with a strong portfolio in commercial office fit‑outs, workplace environments or high‑performance corporate projects.
• Proven ability to lead strategic workshops and translate business objectives into spatial solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
