Senior IT Project Manager – Banking & Digital Transformation

About the role

We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead large‑scale banking and digital transformation initiatives. The role involves end‑to‑end delivery of complex technology programmes, managing multi‑vendor teams and ensuring alignment with regulatory and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead enterprise‑wide IT projects with budgets of USD 10‑20M, overseeing requirements, planning, development, SIT, UAT, deployment and production rollout.
• Manage 50+ technical resources across multiple vendors, handling demand‑supply planning, capacity management and resource forecasting.
• Maintain PMO governance including RAID logs, risk mitigation, project controls, audit and compliance reporting.
• Control project financials: budget forecasting, burn‑rate monitoring, cost optimisation, invoicing and financial reporting.
• Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, SLAs, SOWs and procurement activities.
• Ensure adherence to banking IT security, risk management, regulatory compliance and audit requirements.
• Drive Agile and Waterfall delivery using Jira/Kanban, sprint governance and project tracking.
• Present status, risks and financial performance to senior leadership, steering committees and QBR forums.

Required profile

• 10+ years of IT project management experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale programmes with multi‑vendor teams and budgets of USD 10‑20M.
• Strong PMO governance, financial management and vendor management expertise.
• Deep understanding of banking IT security, regulatory compliance and audit processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
