Senior Lecturer/Lecturer (Hospitality, Tourism, Culinary Management)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Lecturer/Lecturer to inspire and prepare learners for successful careers in hospitality, tourism and culinary management. The role involves delivering engaging, applied learning experiences to both pre‑employment students and adult learners seeking continuing education.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate learner‑centred teaching for modules covering hospitality, tourism, culinary arts, marketing, communications and related business disciplines.
• Guide students through applied projects, internships, competitions and industry collaborations.
• Design, review and enhance curriculum and learning materials aligned with current industry trends.
• Integrate experiential, blended and technology‑enabled pedagogies, including digital transformation, sustainability and AI‑enabled marketing concepts.
• Develop authentic assessments, case studies, simulations and industry‑based learning experiences.
• Build and maintain partnerships with industry stakeholders, supporting consultancy, applied research and student development initiatives.
• Design and deliver executive education, corporate training and professional development workshops for adult learners.
• Contribute to school initiatives, committees, outreach, recruitment and branding activities.

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications in hospitality, tourism, culinary management or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in hospitality, tourism, culinary, marketing, communications, media or customer experience.
• Experience in customer‑facing or service‑oriented environments.
• Strong communication, facilitation, mentoring and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Proven ability to translate industry practice into applied learning experiences.
• Passion for education and talent development.
