Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

FairPrice Group, Singapore’s largest retailer, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its high‑impact legal team. You will act as a strategic partner across retail, food services, supply chain and digital platforms, helping shape the future of retail in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide commercially‑mindful legal advice to senior stakeholders across multiple business units.
• Draft, review, advise on and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Lead legal workstreams for cross‑functional projects, including digital transformation, M&A and new business launches.
• Identify legal risks, propose proactive solutions and ensure compliance with evolving retail and food‑service regulations.
• Support legal operations to improve the efficiency of the legal function.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of post‑qualification experience, preferably with top‑tier law firm and in‑house exposure.
• Demonstrated reliability – able to own matters from inception to completion.
• High responsiveness – can pivot quickly and deliver timely advice without sacrificing quality.
• Adaptability – comfortable handling complex technology contracts one moment and regulatory advisory the next.
