Senior Librarian – Digital Technology & Analytics Manager

About the role

NTU Library is looking for an experienced Librarian / Senior Assistant Manager to lead the development of data, analytics and AI capabilities that enhance operational efficiency and user experience across the library ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain library data models, dashboards, visualisations and integration pipelines.
• Collaborate with library stakeholders to translate business needs into practical analytics solutions.
• Maintain and improve analytics platforms such as Qlik Sense, Denodo, Alma Analytics and related data environments.
• Evaluate and pilot new analytics tools, visualisation approaches and AI workflows.
• Apply AI/LLM technologies, agents and vector databases to streamline library operations.
• Support staff adoption of data tools through training, guidance and communication.

Required profile

• Recognised degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics or business intelligence.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills, with a service‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to work agilely, manage priorities and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Data engineering and ETL pipeline development
• REST API integration
• SQL querying
• Dashboard/BI tools: Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau
• Python scripting for data processing and automation
• Knowledge of AI/LLM concepts, vector databases and cloud AI services (e.g., Azure OpenAI)
• Familiarity with Denodo and Alma Analytics platforms
