Senior Manager (Cybersecurity), Energy & Renewables

About the role

The Energy & Renewables (E&R) division of EDB develops strategies with global energy companies to transform existing businesses and create new opportunities in sustainable products, decarbonisation and new energies, and improves supply chain resilience for the energy sector. It also coordinates emergency preparedness responses to events such as energy supply crises, cybersecurity incidents and future pandemics. As Senior Manager (Cybersecurity), you will work closely with colleagues in EDB (Industry Groups, Industry Manpower Division, Information Technology Division), industry partners and other government agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the energy industry, its supply chain, its IT and operational technology systems and potential disruptions from cybersecurity incidents.
• Apply knowledge of the Cybersecurity Act and Cybersecurity Code of Practice.
• Administer and enforce cybersecurity policies and requirements to strengthen the resilience of the energy sector.
• Liaise with government agencies and industry partners to improve cybersecurity resilience.
• Jointly develop and refine Cybersecurity Incident Management SOPs and IT system/platforms.

Required profile

• At least 5-8 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity resilience and incident management.
• Substantial knowledge of the Cybersecurity Act and Code of Practice, and experience managing cybersecurity incidents.
• Knowledge of the energy and chemicals sector is preferred.
• Experience understanding inter-agency taskforces and connecting with key contacts across companies and agencies.
• Ability to handle diverse work with short timeframes and to communicate clearly to officers and counterparts.
• Willingness to be rostered on weekends during emergencies.
• Singaporean citizenship.
