Senior Manager, Full Automation Excellence

About the role

The Senior Manager, Full Automation Excellence will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of real‑time dispatch (RTD) and advanced scheduling solutions for 300 mm wafer fabs. This role drives the integration of automation into Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to move the fab toward full automation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee development, implementation and optimisation of RTD rules for high‑throughput fab operations.
• Design and refine scheduling algorithms to balance fab priorities, reduce bottlenecks and ensure predictable cycle times.
• Lead integration of RTD and scheduling into MES and other automation platforms.
• Collaborate with Automation, IT and Manufacturing teams to embed rules into fab workflows.
• Analyse production data, adjust strategies and drive continuous improvement of fab productivity.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of daily RTD and automation issues.
• Document business requirements, create training material and mentor a team of engineers.
• Set performance goals, monitor team outcomes and foster a culture of accountability.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years experience in RTD or factory automation within semiconductor fabs.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics or a related field.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent communication and people‑management abilities.
• Negotiation skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.

Required skills

• RTD tools such as APF, Activity Manager.
• Advanced scheduling solutions (AutoSched, Opcenter APS).
• Programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, Python.
• Version control systems (Git) and automated build/testing frameworks.
• MES integration and system‑requirement definition experience.
