Senior Manager - Institutional Markets

About the role

The Senior Manager will lead Markets Compliance in Singapore and act as the key liaison for compliance teams across the region. You will provide robust compliance and regulatory advice to the global Markets business, helping to strengthen risk maturity and ensure ethical conduct.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate, ethical compliance and regulatory advice, recommendations, and thought leadership to Markets teams worldwide.
• Manage deep‑dive portfolio reviews, delivering thematic insights that drive compliance and risk‑maturity improvements.
• Coordinate compliance teams across international locations, especially in Asia, ensuring consistent standards and effective collaboration.
• Build strong relationships with senior business stakeholders, including Managing Directors, Line 1B Non‑Financial Risk teams, and internal Risk and Audit functions.
• Participate in business risk and governance forums, offering insights on compliance adequacy, maturity, and strategic regulatory changes.
• Lead and promote a strong risk culture within the Markets and International businesses.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in financial services compliance, regulatory, or conduct risk.
• Proven leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives across multiple jurisdictions and teams.
• Strong analytical mindset to assess compliance frameworks and recommend improvements.
