Senior Manager – Media & Strategic Communications

About the role

As a Senior Manager (Media and Strategic Communications) you will help position CDA as the leading voice on communicable diseases, shaping how Singapore educates the public on prevention and management. Reporting to the Deputy Director, you will operate in a fast‑paced environment, coordinating multiple stakeholders and priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement media strategies aligned with CDA’s public‑health priorities.
• Manage media inquiries, from routine requests to outbreak communications and planned announcements.
• Pitch stories to showcase CDA’s expertise and capabilities.
• Ensure accurate, timely public information during outbreak situations.
• Monitor and analyse media coverage of CDA and infectious‑disease topics.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and newsrooms.
• Expand the pool of trained CDA spokespersons and create a network of infectious‑disease experts and advocates.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in corporate communications, media relations or public relations within government, healthcare or a medium‑to‑large organisation.
• Strong team player with initiative and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder‑management abilities.
