Senior Manager (Platforms & Automation) / IT & Services

About the role

Temasek Polytechnic is hiring a Senior Manager (Platforms & Automation) to lead its enterprise IT platforms and automation. The role covers operations, technology and application management, risk and audit compliance, project delivery, team leadership and joint representation with other polytechnics.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operations and maintenance of enterprise IT platforms (ServiceNow, M365/Intune, security services, Azure Virtual Desktop) and drive timely incident resolution.
• Drive adoption, optimisation and governance of M365, GCC, Azure, AWS and Google Workspace, and automate provisioning, testing and deployment.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure and security teams to provide reusable tools, automated workflows and standardised pipelines.
• Ensure platform compliance with policies and regulations, partner with security teams and auditors, run periodic risk assessments and manage vendor performance and contracts.
• Evaluate and implement new technology capabilities, define project scope and outcomes, and manage vendor engagements and solution integration.
• Lead and develop platform, automation and vendor teams, set performance metrics and coach team members.
• Represent Temasek Polytechnic in Joint IHL initiatives and take ownership of major incidents and SLA breaches.

Required profile

• Computer Science qualification or related field, with at least 10 years of relevant IT experience.
• At least 5 years building automation and observability on Azure/AWS, and at least 3 years in a team management role.
• Demonstrated project delivery and stakeholder management experience.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform or equivalent (Infrastructure as Code).
• Professional certifications such as CNPA or CNPE are an advantage.
