Senior Manager, Public Affairs and Communications

About the role

As a Senior Manager, Public Affairs and Communications you will shape internal and external messaging for Telenor Asia, supporting leadership, policy advocacy and crisis communications across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead internal communications for Telenor Asia employees and co‑manage Singapore office communications.
• Maintain the inTel internal communications channel in alignment with Group branding and strategy.
• Develop and execute strategic communication for issues management and crisis situations.
• Support the Head of Asia with leadership communications and external positioning.
• Drive policy communications, regional public advocacy and thought‑leadership initiatives on key regulatory topics.
• Advise management on reputational risks and opportunities.
• Manage cross‑market projects, ensuring coordination among multiple stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a regional role at the intersection of technology and connectivity.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Good understanding of media and policy ecosystems in Asian markets, especially Bangladesh and Malaysia.
• Familiarity with crafting strategic messaging in telecommunications, platform ecosystems or digital sectors.
• Project management capability and ability to work flexibly in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team player with coordination skills and ability to engage multiple stakeholders.
