Senior Manager – Research Contracts Management

About the role

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) at NTU seeks a senior professional to lead research contracts management. You will oversee the review, negotiation and execution of a wide range of research agreements, ensuring compliance with university policies, research security and risk management standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate review and execution of NDAs, RCAs, service agreements, MTAs and related research contracts.
• Analyse agreements to identify risks, liabilities or gaps and obtain necessary approvals.
• Provide advice to faculty and staff on contract matters, including industry risk assessments, export clauses and research security.
• Negotiate disputed contractual clauses with internal and external parties to reach mutually acceptable outcomes.
• Develop and maintain policies, SOPs, templates and reports supporting contract reviews and industry assessments.
• Assess contractual and collaboration risks, including research security reviews.
• Offer strategic and operational guidance on industry collaborations, contract research, corporate laboratories and translational partnerships.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing research or commercial contracts within an academic or research institution.
• Strong understanding of contract law, research security and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to work across internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience developing policies, SOPs and templates for contract governance.
