Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

JTC is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to act as its client representative for building and infrastructure projects and industrial estates. The role covers mechanical design for public sector agencies and industrial estates, and coordinating with agencies to plan the gas infrastructure supporting JTC industrial estates.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate project briefs for consultancy tenders and manage the consultants.
• Review consultants' design drawings, technical calculations and specifications from design through to project completion.
• Work with public sector agencies and technical professionals in project teams.
• Plan and advise on mechanical requirements such as District Cooling Systems for new or upgraded business parks and industrial estates.
• Represent JTC in agency committees on technical matters and technology discussions.
• Work with colleagues to forecast future industrial gas demand.

Required profile

• Mechanical Engineering background with at least 5 years of relevant experience in consultancy and mechanical systems design.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively as a team player.
• Good grasp of engineering concepts and good interpersonal skills.
• Able to communicate engineering concepts, design intent and drive engineering solutions.
• Self-driven and dynamic; able to coordinate and manage projects and stakeholders.
