Senior .NET Engineer – Production Support

About the role

We are looking for a Senior .NET Engineer to provide production support for critical applications. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining .NET solutions while ensuring high availability and performance in a government‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using C#.NET Framework (4.5+), frontend frameworks, and SQL Server in a production‑critical environment.
• Take end‑to‑end ownership of assigned modules, including development, enhancements, and defect resolution.
• Provide L2/L3 production support, including incident troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis (RCA), and permanent remediation.
• Manage and prioritize high‑volume work queues and operations tasks, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Drive code quality and maintainability through refactoring and reduction of technical debt.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve integration and system dependencies.
• Review and approve technical designs, code, and documentation, ensuring adherence to standards.
• Proactively identify risks and recommend improvements to enhance system performance, stability, and observability.
• Utilise monitoring and logging tools to detect issues early, analyse system behaviour, and improve reliability.

Required profile

• 6–8+ years of hands‑on .NET development experience in enterprise systems.
• Strong backend expertise in C#, ASP.NET/MVC and SQL Server/Oracle (query optimisation, indexing, performance tuning).
• Front‑end experience with AngularJS or ReactJS (at least one, hands‑on).
• Proven experience in application maintenance & support (AMS) / production support environments, incident management, RCA and issue ownership.
• Mandatory experience in public sector or government projects; experience in healthcare, insurance or large‑scale transactional systems is a plus.
• Solid understanding of multi‑tier architecture, system integrations and secure coding practices.
• Experience with version control (Git/TFS) and structured release/delivery processes (CI/CD exposure preferred).
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (logging, alerting, performance monitoring).
• Ability to work in SLA‑driven environments and join within short notice (≤ 1 month).
