Senior Payroll Analyst

About the role

As a Senior Payroll Analyst in Databricks’ Payroll team, you will support accurate and timely payroll processing for the Asia region, covering Australia, Korea, Japan and Singapore. Working closely with the Payroll Director and the India payroll team, you will ensure compliance, data integrity and excellent service to employees.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, validate and reconcile payroll data for assigned countries, partnering with the India Payroll Analyst team.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑processing audits to detect and correct discrepancies.
• Collaborate with external payroll vendors to resolve issues and meet SLA commitments.
• Maintain compliance with statutory regulations and internal controls for each jurisdiction.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries via the case‑management tool and resolve cases promptly.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Document payroll procedures and contribute to regional payroll projects and system enhancements.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of hands‑on payroll processing experience in the Asia region.
• Experience in a multinational, high‑growth environment.
• Strong knowledge of statutory payroll requirements (taxes, social security, reporting) for supported countries.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional partners in HR, Finance and external vendors.

Required skills

• Workday Payroll or comparable HRIS/payroll system.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
• Case‑management tools for tracking and meeting SLA metrics.
